The Optical Distributors & Manufacturers Association (ODMA) has announced that Chief Executive Finola Carey will leave the organisation at the end of April to take up semi-retirement.

ODMA was proud to bring together in December 2022 ODMA members and key industry members at the annual member networking event.

A Summary of ODMA’s 2022 Activities

Biennial event O=MEGA23 is putting Australian optometry on the world stage through its partnership with the World Council of Optometry, as registration opens marking 12 months to the event’s launch.

ODMA is concerned about the effect of the recent revocation of the tariff concession order on plastic optical frames given the current economic climate and the continued importance of the import market in Australia for the supply of optical frames

Australia will showcase its leading edge in sustainable event delivery when it hosts international eye health professionals at the largest clinical conference and trade show for optometry in the Southern Hemisphere.
