Scholarships
Since 2008, the Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association of Australia Ltd (ODMA), as part of its commitment to independent practitioners, has made scholarships available (to assist with course fees) to encourage and promote Optical Dispensing as a career.
Optical Dispensing Certificate IV
To encourage quality optical dispensing, ODMA is pleased to offer Cert IV Scholarships
The Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing course can be completed through the Australasian College of Optical Dispensing (ACOD) or TAFE Digital. Applicants must be working in the industry in independent practice, and the course duration is flexible and usually takes from 12 to 18 months.
These scholarships are known as the “Lindsay McGregor Scholarships” in memory and respect of the late Lindsay McGregor who played an important and active role in Optical Dispensing throughout Australia and Internationally.
The Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing - HLT47815 has 14 units of competency required to be completed.
TAFE NSW offers this qualification over 3 semesters or 18 months duration the practical workshops are delivered via a modern purpose-built training facility featuring the latest equipment in Sydney.
ACOD offers ongoing continuous enrolments with flexible blended delivery, including workshops in seven capital cities.
