Optos To Launch The New 200Dx^TM at ODMA
Optos (stand 121) is delighted to launch the new 200Dx^TM Ultra-widefield Retinal Imaging system in Australia at the 2011 ODMA Fair.  A leading retinal imaging company and provider of devices and solutions for improved patient care, Optos joined forces with Opto Global, an Adelaide based ophthalmic device company, in December 2010.  The first combined show will be ODMA in August 2011, where the 200Dx^TM will be featured in addition to visual acuity systems and visual field analysers. Optos' ultra-widefield imaging technology produces high resolution digital images of approximately 82% of the retina - something no other device is capable of doing in a single image. 200Dx^TM is poised to enhance the way eye exams are conducted in Australia.

The 200Dx^TM captures simultaneous non-contact pole-to-periphery imaging of up to 200° of the retina in a single capture with or without mydriasis. The images provide optometrists and ophthalmologists enhanced clinical information which facilitates the early detection, management and treatment of disorders and diseases evidenced in the retina such as retinal detachments and tears, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.  Retinal imaging can also indicate evidence of non-eye or systemic diseases such as hypertension and certain cancers.
