Canon CR-2 Non-Mydriatic digital retinal camera Canon Medical has produced a revolutionary compact, lightweight and high resolution non-mydriatic retinal camera, the CR-2. At nearly half the size and weight of previous models, it creates more flexibility for installation and offers true portability if required.

The remarkable new Canon 15 megapixel EOS medical SLR camera further enhances image quality and allows retinal anomalies to be depicted in greater detail, and a new white LED flash system provides natural, even and consistent illumination of the retina. This low intensity LED flash technology also means more patient comfort, and a faster photography procedure due to quick pupil size recovery, assisted by the CR-2\'s incredible performance through naturally small pupils. Long term running costs associated with conventional flash tubes could save the practice many thousands of dollars over the life of the camera.

Tomey TMS-5 Anterior Modelling system
OptiMed are pleased to partner Tomey in bringing their new Corneal Topographic Modelling System, the TMS-5 to market. This innovative and compact device allows for detailed analysis of the anterior and posterior cornea with a short image capture time of 0.5 seconds. Comprehensive analysis software provides the user with a wide scope of options. The stylish and compact device also provides Scheimpflug images of the anterior segment and does it without the need for a darkened environment.

Shin Nippon DR-900 power phoroptor
Japanese supplier Shin Nippon have recently established a partnership with OptiMed and to celebrate have released their new power phoropter the DR-900 to the market .The DR-900 is a stylish and compact phoropter that provides an intuitive easy to see and use touch screen or if preferred the use of a  jog style interface as standard. Infrared communication can eliminate the need for cumbersome cables to many devices. This instrument will make a busy refraction clinic a joy to work in.
