Mykita bringing 4 GREAT ranges to ODMA!

"No limits" was certainly the message when it came to the latest addition to the jointly designed metal collection in the third year of MYKITA's collaboration with Willhelm. The new model XAVER joins the popular series comprising the mirrored aviator-style models FRANZ, SEPP and ANDREAS. The design of the new frame is reminiscent of the 1980s, with sharper contours than its predecessors. The frame's dimensions mark another new aspect; measuring 14 millimeters these are the widest temples in the metal collection. The new colour combinations in the mirrored collection are Red/ Red Flash with red mirrored lenses and Copper/ Mint Flash with mint-green mirrored lenses. The collection also includes the following colours: Gold, Silver, Matt Black and Pink.

MYKITA & uslu airlines present the Bob & Eve Jet Sets
MYKITA (stand 298) and uslu airlines first came together back in 2006 to co-design a limited edition of aviator sunglasses as a result of their shared "facially-focused" creative energies. Two models were born: EVE for the ladies and BOB for the men.  Both brands focus on enhancing, underlining and expressing personalities with colours, shapes and surface textures or materials. uslu airlines' unique view of beauty met MYKITA's industrial design approach and thus the pair ended up on a new and interesting route with a new MYKITA & uslu airlines Jet Set: a new edition of cult aviators BOB and EVE in three new striking colour coatings with matching nail polish! All cleverly packaged in a small suitcase to further play on the travel theme.

Three exclusive colours were developed for this collaboration: The MYK Grey-Brown and Lilac ITA are new developments of uslu airlines nail polish best sellers. SXF however signals a new twist on Neon Yellow. By picking what is probably the ugliest, least beautiful and most poorly organised airport in Germany as a name for such a striking colour, the pair finally created something cool to carry the name 'Schönefeld'. The colours are also repeated in the gradient lenses, which fade from black down to the respective frame colour. The nail polish, in co-branded MYKITA & uslu airline bottles, will also be available to purchase separately, for those people who might use up their allocated dose rather quickly.

NO1 from Mykita
Oversize and filigree are the key styling terms for MYKITA's Collection No1 this season. The TILL model's striking top line is reminiscent of 1970s-style skiers, while at the same time adding a modern touch with an ultrafine frame edge. Sports/casual meets elegance for every day. The play with different line thicknesses is a major feature of the TIMO model; a classic basic form is altered via fine, horizontal frame edges. TIAGO and XENIA are MYKITA's new sunglasses for summer 2011.

These models reincorporate form-related elements of classic 1960s Nylon frames. Their larger-than-life proportions, plus heavily emphasised and dynamic top lines that merge seamlessly like a continuous strip into the temples, see XENIA and TIAGO blowing fresh wind into the season.
