Macular Degeneration (MD) is the leading cause of blindness and severe vision loss in Australia. The Macular Degeneration Foundation is a charity and the peak body for MD in Australia. It is a patient-driven organisation working on behalf of the entire MD community, specifically people living with MD, their family and carers and health care professionals.

The Foundation has an extensive range of FREE publications available to help your patients fully understand their disease, the symptoms, risk factors and treatment options, the importance of nutrition and lifestyle, and low vision services, aids and technology. Also available is a magnetised Amsler grid for home monitoring.
